Modeling of the test vessel

The 7200 work package aims to identify the manoeuvring parameters that characterise the manoeuvring behaviour of the Ernst Kramer inland waterway vessel. Two procedures are used to identify these parameters. The first method uses force measurements from captive model tests. The second method uses kinematic measurements from the full scale vessel. Validation of the parameters obtained by both methods are made with free running model tests and full scale trials of the Ernst Kramer.
